This class is designed to get you up and running as a new quilter. You will learn how to use all the latest quilting and sewing tools, how to pick out fabrics, how to use a modern sewing machine, how to read a pattern and most of all – HOW TO MAKE A QUILT!
This is the best “FIRST” class to take if you have never sewn a stitch – or have not sat at a sewing machine during the last 10 years. This class is split into 3 short evenings on the second Wednesday of October, November and December – so you won’t feel bogged down with too much information. We have all the tools and machines you need – all you have to bring with you is the fabric you want to use. When you purchase a seat in this class you’ll have access to a downloadable “supplies list” that will walk you through the fabric choosing process, and will let you know exactly how much you’ll need to buy. The best part is, you’ll have a finished quilt to curl up with on the couch by the time the last class is finished on December 13th!
We’ll be working on a log cabin quilt with large easy to sew pieces. So large that I like to call this the “Chubby Cabin” quilt. Our studio is cozy and private, with small student numbers – so you’ll always receive personal instruction. This class is limited to a maximum of 4 participants.
