This is a simple 3D pattern made from a variety of strips and a 60 degree ruler. Learn how to cut and piece 60 degree triangles to create a 3D illusion of stacked or floating cubes. This quilt is a step up from the traditional baby block or tumbling block quilt.
The pattern gives yardage for a 44″ square wall hanging, but you can double the yardage and make a usable lap quilt. Back it with fleece or flannel to make it even more “snuggly”!
There is no need to send this one out to be long-arm quilted. You can easily quilt this on your home machine by simply following the outline of the hexagons.
