Cabaret Quiltworx class series

Description

Intermediate foundation paper piecing skills are suggested to make this Cabaret design! However, a beginner quilter will also be able to have success along with the expert guidance from our Certified Instructor Donna Viau.  You will learn to read the pattern and use template layout sheets to cut your fabric. We will cover “stack cutting” the papers to save time. The techniques we will cover making this quilt include Lone Star diamonds, narrow veins, Floating points, T-Templates and making an 8 seam quilt center lay perfectly flat! This quilt finishes to 80″ x 80″ but you have the option to enlarge it with more paper pieced adjustable borders available at Quiltworx. You can make this quilt as big as King size 118″!

When you purchase a seat in class, you will be sent a welcome email with a supply list.  Then 2 – 3 weeks prior to the first class day, you will recieve an email with a video to help you through the prepping process of getting your papers cut and sorted, and your fabric prepped prior to us getting together to sew the first stitch.  After each class day you will recieve more video tutorials of everything we covered in class – in the event you may have to miss class, or you want to work at a slower pace.  These videos have a great hands on view, and are available forever!

If you choose to come into our studio for a spot in class we have Janome machines available for you to use and all the tools you will need.  All you have to bring is your project and a smile!
