You don’t have to live in the desert to appreciate this Desert Sky! Turn this simple Quiltworx quilt into your own creation using nothing but fat quarters and a full day in class! Explore the world of color pairing contrasting fabrics to get the best effect. The lights and darks play off each other to keep your eye moving around the quilt.

Finished to 48″ by 54″ this is considered a wall hanging, but is also good as a lap quilt to snuggle up in. Beginner friendly with just 1 paper pieced unit throughout the entire quilt. You will also learn how to piece a gentle curved seam, like the ones you find in a drunkard’s path block.

You will need to purchase a variety of contrasting fat quarters to complete this project.

18 fat quarters are used to finish this quilt: as in 9 sets of light and dark combinations. You may even have enough fabric to complete this quilt out of your own stash!
