Description
This project is a beginner Tree Skirt by Quiltworx, incorporating foundation paper piecing with three traditional elements, including Flying Geese, a Feathered Star border, and a New York Beauty Border block. The pattern uses all of the latest techniques from Quiltworx and is assembled in a straightforward approach, creating (8) wedges of an octagon, then assembling those together.
The pattern is available here: Emerald City Tree Skirt pattern from Quiltworx
Before class you can color your tree skirt using the Quiltster app, to get yardage information to make your project unique. In class we will work on piecing a couple of each of the units, so you will go home with at least 1 wedge of your quilt complete, and have the knowledge to finish your project at home.
We have all the machines and tools you will need in our Salem NH studio – so no need to pack up your own and drag them all to class (unless you really want to). Of course if you choose to participate via zoom, then you will already have everything you need at your fingertips! Make sure you have a good internet connection and that your device can be plugged in during class.
