Hugs & Kisses quilt pattern

Description

This pattern is for any quilter looking for a quick and versatile quilt project, that is a bit 3D, too!

It’s quick because it’s made with mostly half square triangles and no “Y” seams. Versatile because when you make enough of the bigger block units to put the quilt together, you can divide them in half to create 2 smaller quilts that still have the same 3D effect.

The downloadable and printed pattern both come with video links to 2 different tutorials that will help with making the “sailboat” blocks and also on binding your project.

Choose the first 4 colors as neutral shades of white-gray-black, or cream-tan-brown and the last 4 fabrics from 2 colors that you like to coordinate in different values – to achieve a “colored” background and “neutral” X’s and O’s.  You can choose to swap it around and number your first 4 fabrics as color choices 1-4 and your neutrals as 5-8 to get the reverse effect!  See the attached pictures, and notice the brown and blue option does just that – with a cream background.  A little shy about choosing fabric?  You can get a kit for this pattern right HERE – Hugs & Kisses Kit!
