This fabulous Technique of the Month pattern by Quiltworx was released on January 1, 2019!!

Certified Instructor Donna Viau taught this pattern in a bi-monthly class beginning in Aug and ending in November 2024. There is no new class scheduled at this time.  If you have a group of 4 or more quilters who would like to schedule a class; Contact Donna at TheMasqueradeNH@gmail.com and she will work with you to schedule a time and date that will work with you!

You will learn a new technique each class, and have time in between to practice your skills while completing the components to this festive beautiful 80″ x 80″ wall size quilt, or if you prefer to go BIG, then choose the 99″x 99″ queen size option!

During class you will learn to piece perfect razor points, gentle curves, piano keys, leaf veins, lone star curved diamonds and in the queen size quilts you’ll learn some applique dots. You will learn how to use T-templates and TRP lines, you will get good at piecing Stacked X Seams by learning the 4 ways to complete them and finding the one that works best for you.

Come to our studio in Salem NH, or Zoom into class from your own sewing space – either way you will have Donna’s support every step of the way from the very beginning of your quilt to the very last stitch!

This is definitely not a “quilt in a day” type of project, but one step at a time makes it less frightening. You will feel accomplished and proud of your masterpiece when it’s finished.

You can color this quilt on your own by using the Quiltster app online, or zoom in with Donna and she will help you create the colorway you desire. Then use fabric from your stash or shop for deals and make it totally you-nique! You can pre-order the pattern through our studio with free shipping for those who are signing up to class.

Class evenings may seem late – running 6pm to 10pm, but Donna can keep you interested and busy enough to stay awake! LOL If you are zooming in from home, you can come and go as you please, as we will announce when the next tutorial will be happening so you don’t miss out on any instruction. For the most part, the instructional part of the class will all be happening before 9pm, so if you have to slip out early, that is quite alright! There will be tutorial videos available to you for each technique after each class. A great view of Donna’s quilting hands will keep you on task, and the atmosphere is light and jovial as we all know quilting friends can be happy people.
