Arctic Star quilt class

Description

This Quiltworx class will have you making your own Arctic Star quilt in one of two sizes.  You can choose the Arctic Star wall size quilt at 68″ or the Arctic Star queen size quilt at 99″.

This pattern is full of Floating Points, Lone Sart diamonds, Curvy Flying Geese, Narrow Veins, NY Beauty Blocks and Gentle curves.  This 4 day class is conveniently scheduled for Wednesday evenings to accomodate those who work – or those busy retired quiter’s who want to still do things on weekends with their family and friends.

In class you will tackle preparing the pattern papers and fabric on your own with an easy pre-recorded On Demand video of the process, so that you can get everything prepped and ready for class prior to us meeting on the first evening.  After each class you will also receive a video of all that was covered during class, so that you can sew with confidence as you complete your homework between classes.  Our Quiltworx Certified Instructor Donna Viau will support you every step of the way – to the very last stitch of your quilt!

You will need to purchase your pattern prior to class. This pattern is Quiltster.com compatible – so you can color it your own way and get exact yardage and cutting information.  You can also choose to purchase a kit from a number of Quiltworx Certified shops.  If you like the colorway of our sample quilt, Donna can send you the PDF yardage and cutting information directly from Quiltster – so you can source out your own fabrics, or find similar ones.

If you are not a fan of the flying geese queen corners, you can choose to purchase a wall size quilt, and then different queen corners – without all those geese!  This pattern is part of the Arctic Mixer Series with several options for the queen expansion available.
