Description
Harvest Moon is a great pattern for intermediate quilters who want to expand their skills into the world of curved piecing! It’s also a great way to show off some of your favorite batik fabrics. You must purchase your pattern directly from Quiltworx.com prior to coming to class – so that you can use it to purchase your fabrics in advance.
Donna Viau will teach you a couple simple Judy Niemeyer paper piecing techniques to complete all the components of this quilt in the first class. Then you will have the chance to finish the rest of the sections at home for 1 – 2 weeks before coming back for the second part of the class when we will be putting the components together with some curved piecing. If you come to the second class with all your paper piecing done, then you will go home from the second class with a finished quilt top!
We have all the machines and tools you will need here in the studio – however, you are welcome to bring your own machine. We use Janome 6260 Quilter’s Companion machines, and we like to limit this class to 3 students in Studio and 15 via Zoom!
There will be video tutorials available to you after the class is complete, so you will have Donna in your home sewing space to help you finish your project at your own pace.
If you are taking this class at an alternate venue where Donna is traveling to teach – you will be able to purchase any paper piecing tools you need, fabric, and your pattern at the venue!
