Description
This class series will introduce you to the Quiltworx “mixer” patterns. We have chosen 3 units and a border that that can be mixed and matched, twisted and turned any way you want when assembling the quilt so that it is totally unique! When signing up for the class, you will have the option to color your quilt with our instructor prior to class, so you can have a print out of your unique quilt and the yardage needed to complete it. However, if you like our Rainbow Meadow option, then all the yardage information comes with the pattern and is only available here: Rainbow Meadow Pattern
A few weeks prior to the first class you will receive a video link that will show you how to prepare your pattern and fabric for the unit we will be working on. During each class we will work on 1 unit from start to finish, and you will have at least 3 weeks to complete the rest of the same units. We will also work on part of the border during the first 2 classes. During the third class we will work on 4 of the 8 large square units that will finish off the quilt. You will receive detailed instructions in a video tutorial on how to assemble the quilt once all the paper piecing is complete.
This quilt finishes to 85″ square and will fit the top of a queen bed, and you will have enough foundation papers left over to create a table runner to compliment your quilt!
We have machines and all the tools you will need if you choose to participate in our studio with us, and we will provide some fruit, cheese and crackers to munch on during class to keep you going.
If you choose to zoom in with us, please make sure your machine is in working order, and reboot your device (lap top, tablet or phone) before you begin the zoom session. Make sure you are all plugged in and have your sewing tools at hand. You will have time for breaks throughout the class, and everyone can work at their own pace!
